One brake light constantly on?
I recently picked up an 06 A3 2.0T FSI. I've been going through it trying to identify all of the minor electrical problems.
Went to replace a few brake lights and a reverse light because of the warning everytime I start the car. Fixed one side fine, then noticed the other side was already unplugged at the light housing. I plugged it back in, now the right brake light (the one in the right hatchback light cluster) won't turn off, even with the car off and the key out.
Could a bad brake switch at the pedal cause just one side to stay on constantly? Or do I have bad wiring/connector?
For the time being I've just disconnected both hatchback light clusters, so I don't have reverse lights or inner brake lights (top center brake light still works).
