Default I don't see this any different from the gas pedal issue that TOYOTA is addressing

Here is an extract of the complain that I filed on this topic to the NHTSA/ODI ..." I have a 2006 A3 (Automatic) with 90K miles on it. I started experiencing transmission problems 2 weeks ago, basically while driving (at any speed) transmission would sporadically shift to neutral followed by a jolting/clunking noise, and then PRNDS lights would go off on the dashboard. The same thing has happened 3-4 times within 1 week. The scary thing is that driving on highways, such I-95, my wife almost got rear ended by a 18-wheeler. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. Talked to Audi NA complain line, and they mentioned there wasn't anything reported to them, there was no recall on this item, and no intentions to help to cover the cost of the faulty part"

Does the engine stop? Do you have a chip? I have an allroad and an A3, I spent the past 6 weeks tracking down the exact same symptoms in my allroad. It ended up being the chip.

I had the Mechatronics replaced at 54K under the CPO warranty - absolutely transformed the car (in a good way!).

I had not experienced the serious drivability issues others have described in this thread, but was experiencing rough starts and 1-2/2-1 shifts, especially in hot weather stop-go traffic, and parallel parking on a grade was always jerky. (Note that these are the situations where a conventional manual tranny car would require some finesse with the clutch.) No issues in normal, at-speed operation with the DSG - as good as ever.

The A3 now drives as it should. Feels like the clutch actuation has been changed from on-off to being finessed just like I would do it. The shifting algorithm has obviously been improved judging from the way that the DSG selects gears slowing down to a stop. And I'd swear that the full clutch engagement was also 'tightened' but that may have just been my sensation from driving a Tiptronic car while mine was being repaired. My wife agreed immediately, even as a passenger, that the A3 was both smoother and more fun after the fix.

The new Mechatronics unit took about 2.5 weeks to get here and be replaced, and my dealer (Barrier Motors in Bellevue, WA) gave me a lovely 2009 A4 as a free loaner for that period.

I knew going in that the DSG was pretty advanced technology, and would probably not have bought this car without the CPO warranty. I have absolutely no complaints with Audi or my dealer, and the way that they handled this. And as nice as the 2009 A4 was, I was very glad to get my A3 back.

Anyone could help with the following software file (or related):

v0692m0402ea__getriebe_DSG_OW2m.sgo that supposed to be related to 02E300053B 2104 GSG DSG AG6 511 - 6 speed transmission.

I've already wrote the 02E300053A software in it. Everything works fine except for the gears indicator in the dashboard. So I want to flash with 053B software to back it to original's form.

I have some sgo or frf files in my database if I can help anyone too.

How are you able to flash the transmission? What special tool are you using?

can this be done via VCDS?
