I have owned manuals in the past - Mazda, Porsche, BMW and have never had a clutch problem. Today the clutch felt like it slipped in third gear. I have a 2014 A5 Premium Plus, 6 speed 67,000 miles. Possible fluke or is this when Audis start to go?

The life expectancy for almost any clutch that's not abused should easily be 100K miles. My wife keeps her Audis for at least six years and around 120K miles, and has never had the clutch replaced in her cars. While lots of her commuting is in stop and go traffic, she doesn't take her car to the dragstrip.

Thanks for the reply. I thought the same and never replaced a clutch before. Research is telling me the pressure plates are a weakness in an Audi. Perhaps it was the self adjusting process that I noticed........
