Default A5 Ordering Timeline and Experience

I look around Audi website for 2019 inventory in many cities websites and there's not a lot of A5 Prestige with options I'm looking for. Either, too many blacks and too many Black Optic Plus Package.
  1. Does Driver Assistant package an options for all trims? I don't see it as an option when I build the car.
  2. Is there a good time of the year to put an order and will get the car delivery faster? For example, closer to the month the dealer will get the new cars delivered ?
  3. Is MSRP the same across the US? I know the final price's after negotiation is vary depending on the dealer. Anyone know if it's cheaper in particular part of the US? ie is it usually more expensive in the East coast than Midwest?
  4. How's your experience with ordering prestige package ?
  5. Can you pick and choose certain item out of the package? ie. Instead of choosing Cold package, you only want Heated steering wheel, but not heated rear seats.

driver assist is only on a prestige
no - dealer has to have allocation to build a car, so if they don't, it just sits in the bin till they do. Allocation is based on a mathmatical formula
mainly - certain states have certain fees, but the car and it's options will remain the same price. Price will vary by dealer, there is not one region better than another. You have to find a dealer you like working with, and who gives you a fair price.
no - the package is the package

Is this new for 2019? Because in 2018, driver assist package is listed in the window sticker for $1,800?

what do you mean by bin?
Order is placed, but not sent to build until the dealer's allocation is available?

The build guides are posted, but yes, Driver Assist is standard on a 2019 Prestige A5 Sportback. It is not available as an option on any other trimline. If you want it, you have to get a Prestige. For 2018 it was optional only on a Prestige. For 2019, they are following what they did last year with the A4/S4

correct - Audi will not allow the build to be scheduled until the dealer has allocation to build that car line (A5, S4, so on and so forth. Every model gets it's own allocation by Audi, on a per dealer basis)

  1. Allocation is also different from dealer to dealer, correct?
  2. I assume there will be many allocations throughout the year...?
  3. When is the latest I can order 2019? August/September/October? When does Audi usually stop making the current model year? I supposed Audi no longer accept 2018 custom order.

yes
yes
no one can answer that at this point - they set the bar as to when production starts and stops, and they can change it whenever they want. They stopped accepting orders for 18's months ago
