Hi folks,

I'm new here, so I wanted to say hi I've posted similar post on Audizine, but it seems that AudiWorld forum is more popular.

I used to own A5 2013 2.0T AT (modified a bit: ~310HP, cat-back + downpipe) and I just moved to CA, so I'm looking into buying A5 or S5 CPO from 2018. My "problem" is that I don't want to downgrade to A5 with 252HP, but on the other hand S5 is quite expensive. My non-negotiable requirement is that A5/S5 needs to be equipped with B&O.

I've tested both A5 and S5 and I haven't made up my mind yet.

I was thinking about buying A5 and doing a few modifications:
- chip tuning or external race chip - I looked up a few options and it seems that it may add up to 40-50HP
- cat-back + downpipe - I'm concerned here about voiding CPO warranty and I've heard that some exhaust modifications are not legal in CA.
- ceramic coating
- buying or using vinyl wrap to imitate black optics package

What's your experience with following modifications? I remember that in my A5 from 2013 stocks break where not enough for >300HP.

I suspect that there might have been a lot of folks here with similar concerns, so I will be happy to listen your advices.
