Default AWE Touring Unbearable Drone Sound

So I got the b9 s5 Sportback, which was put on the awe touring exhaust from the b9 s5 coupe. There was about 2 cm gap difference between the pipes and I just spot welding them together. And the exhaust was doing well around 1500-2500 rpm and it is definitely acceptable But there is an unbearable drone around 2500-3000 rpm which is just the at gear 7 when cruising on the highway. So I just want to know is there any specific reason why it happens only at this range? Maybe the leaking or installation problems or because it is designed for coupe not for the Sportback?
Thanks

Mine does the same at 75mph / 3000 RPM, when under load. It's not unbearable, but a little annoying on a long trip. Wife definitely doesn't care for it.
Different Engine, same effect. Turing Exhaust. I emailed them about it, but never came back with a solution.

Thanks for sharing, Is there anything I can do to let it at least be quieter. Mine is pretty loud and it kinda hurt my ear.

Maybe resonated downpipes? $$ I do not have them, but it may quiet it down.

You can always put it back into D on the transmission while cruising on the highway. It should noticeably change the sound on the AWE since you should be in a lower RPM. Or are you already in D mode?
