Help! Rim-less in AZ
Hello,
I am purchasing a 2018 Audi A5 coupe used from Audi. The original owner put on 20" Niche Black M190 rims; I don't care for the black at all (I'm female LOL).
So....I def need some advice.
Audi says they can spray the rims silver for $1,200 or would you all suggest that I find a set of 20" rims on CL or online or ?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Becky

The wheels should powder coated. Online search for powder coating rims or wheels in your area. Here's one - Powder Coating in Phoenix, Arizona
Two other possibilities - 1) Reconditioned OEM wheels. Online search for Refurb or reconditioned wheels. 2) Another Audi owner selling their wheels. Look here and other Audi sites like this.

You may want to contact this person - https://www.audiworld.com/forums/aud...s5-sb-2971252/
He may be selling his factory wheels. Just make sure his wheels also fit your car. I also gave him link to your post.

Hi bpnaz!
I'm thinking about getting new rims and I'll probably need to sell my OEM 19" S5 Sportback rims. I think you will probably like them. Did you already find new rims? or would you be interested in the ones I have?
here is a couple pics:

Buy new rims then sell the ones you have now. You'll end up with something far more durable than trying to change the black rims to silver and spend less than $1200.

Pick your desired wheel size - would recommend 18" or 19". This would require buying new tires though, which may or may not make sense depending how much tread is on the originals. Keep in mind, tire cost goes down with smaller wheels. Tire Rack will also sell tire/wheel packages with free mount & balance.

You can just get the wheels refinished if you don't like the black. I am about to send a set of 19" RS4 style rims I picked up to get refinished because the guy I bought them from used them as winter wheels and didn't take care of them. The place I'm taking mine to is charging me $410 that includes dismounting and remounting the tires. Much more cost effective IMO if you like the style of the rim, plus it saves you from having to get new tires too.
