Reasonable Price for A5 Sportback with Premium Plus
Hello,
I am new to this forum. Planning to purchase a 2019 A5 Sportback with Premium Plus. Dealer has offered me $48,998. MSRP is $52,380. Dealer invoice is $49,237.
Is this a reasonable offer? I live in the Boston area.
Thanks for your replies!

I suggest checking the price with exactly the options you want at KBB.com, edmunds.com and truecar.com. Take the lowest of the three and consider that as the highest you want to pay and offer lower. Buy towards the end of the month that's when the dealers are most likely to be flexible. When I bought mine I think I also used KBB to invite dealers to quote me their prices. I try to negotiate a out the door price (that includes taxes, registration etc.) that way I know exactly what I am paying and the dealer cannot add any last minute extra junk fees. Finally, don't sound too eager - when I bought mine I told the sales guy this is a want car not a need car they got the message. Good luck!

It's close enough
That's about 6.5% off MSRP. I got 7% off a month ago.

Mary - send me a message. I negotiated with a Boston area dealership and ended up getting a purchase price of $45,100 (MSRP was $52,695).
