Sport Mode idle when stopped

Sport Mode idle when stopped
Does anyone know what the idle should be when at a stop and in sport mode? I recently bought a 2015 A5 and felt it was slow off the line when in regular D mode. I started playing with Sport mode and when I was at a stop in D the rpm’s were just under 1000, when I shifted into Sport mode, the rpm’s went up (I think) help ing it get off the line.
i just had the car chip tuned using the GIAC tuning. Now when I shift into Sport mode at a stop the rpm’s stay under 1000 and don’t rise like I thought they used to.
i called the shop and they said that the car should have the same idle at a stop regardless of if it’s in D or S. The sport mode only affects the car, higher rpm, lower gear when in motion.
True/False?
Thoughts?

Idle speed in Sport is higher than in Drive. Dont have the exact numbers, but Drive looks like 750rpm and Sport is closer to, if not over, 1000.
Will hook you to the OBD later and double check.
Higher idle RPM certainly helps in getting away quicker.
