I’m buying at 2016 q5 with 13k miles. Warranty through Audi good until 12/22. Should I purchase the extended warranty at purchase or wait until later?

If you purchase now vs later it will be cheaper. I purchased my ext. warranty at the time of vehicle purchase.

See my post above about the $11k quote for a new engine at 52k miles. You may never need it to pay off, but depending on term and price it could be worthwhile. Read the fine print - Audi is demonizing me because the service history doesn't meet some fuzzy expectation they have, and even if it were perfect they would be under no obligation to provide assistance since I'm out of warranty. If the aftermarket policy has the same rules, it would really be a shame if they don't pay off one day because of some fuzzy technicality.
