Active Steering Basic Settings needed
Good morning all. Does anyone know the procedure for restoring the Basic Settings in the Active Steering module 1B for the current B9 platform. I have posted in the Ross Tech forum and found the procedure for the B8 platform but no luck so far for the B9. Thanks

I did. The active Steering 1B, does not show a long code as many other modules do. The procedure I believe is similar to setting the Basic Steering Angle, which has been set. Thank you though.

@NJS5 -- I read over at the Ross-Tech forums ( https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/19852/ ) that you were trying to retrofit the steering column controls J527 to include the ALA switch at the end of the turn signal stalk. How did you make out in that process ? I'm trying to do the same thing in our '17 A4Q, also with Address 1B Active Steering, after having the ALA enabled mod done for over a year now.
I swapped out our original J527 (no ALA, regular CCS) yesterday, but the salvage part returns a "Mechanical Failure" fault code for the steering angle sensor, though the live data in Address 16 for the sensor seems to look OK (except for the fact that the clockspring wheel appears to be rotated one turn CCW from zero-degrees), noted here: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a4-.../#post26041039
I'm tempted to pull the module out to give the clockspring wheel a full turn CW and see if it can be calibrated, except for that "mechanical failure" fault code. --g
