Default 2008 A5 Passenger AC not working

I've seen this problem diagnosed in other Audis as a dirty valve assembly in the pump valve unit (one assembly is dirty, the other is clean so just one side of the AC doesn't blow cold.)
Could this also be my car's problem and if so, where is the pump valve located in a 2008 A5? It's not center front behind the firewall as in the A6. Thanks to anyone who can help.
I'd love to try a DIY fix before I bring it in for Audi service.
