2008 A5 Quattro - Underbody protection trim
Hi all
I didn't see a kerb today and as I crunched over it it made a terrible noise! I stopped and looked under the front bumper but I couldn't see any damage.
Later I was overtaking someone when I heard a rattle - like gravel being kicked up by the tyres - and saw something fly out from the bottom of the car in the rearview mirror. I did go back but couldn't see anything on the road.
On checking I noticed that the plastic trim under the front bumper was missing a few screws and hanging off slightly (still quite well secured and not touching the ground or anything) - I wonder if when I've dragged it over the kerb it's loosened the screws and then with the vibration at speed they've worked free and that's what I heard/saw?
Does anyone know what little screws I need to replace the missing ones? I'm in the UK.
Thanks
Alec.

Go to your dealer and parts guy will look it up. Or you can go on line to see all the parts diagrams and find the item and part number and order it. More than likely a snap in pin rather than a screw.
