Had the privilege of driving the 2008 A5 automatic without Audi Drive Select(ADS) and the 2009 A4 2.0T with ADS. WOW the torque on the 2.0 A4 is FANTASTIC in Dynamic mode! The book states the A4 has 15 more than the A5?!? Can anyone tell me if the A5 WITH ADS is similar torque to the A4??? Thanks!

ADS does make the connection from the pedal to the engine response much quicker but does nothing to make more torque in the 3.2L engine. It also changes the whole "Vibe" of the car. Dynamic=Edgy and Tight to me.
When I drove the A5 (non ADS), I was impressed by the engine and overall speed & handling (0-60 MPH in 5.9 Sec). Then I drove the A4 3.2L with ADS and that was an even better sporty feel, same as the 2.0L with ADS. I think either engine with ADS is a superb choice but you will be able to chip the 2.0L for likely another 30 HP soon. The 2 Liter is more uumphhhh when the turbos hit but the 3.2L is more refined.
I have an A5 with ADS on order because it is sooooo sexy.

I agree the A5 is sweeeeeet looking! Just wondering if the A5 ADS would add a bit of uuummph? Can one chip the A5 as well as the 2 liter for an extra 30HP???

ADS adds that extra edge to any car regardless of engine, IMHO.
