The sunroof drains generally don't "fail", they just become clogged. There have been DIY posts where a small wire was inserted in the drain holes, pushed through and the clogs were cleared. Before I had seen this simple repair, I had my dealer do it on my wife's allroad a few years ago. Cost was about $200.

That's laughable, Ed. It's a long-standing and on-going problem with VAG products. It's a shame.


I'm visiting with someone this afternoon who has a Tiguan (with Pano) that's been "repaired" 4 times now and it's still leaking or has new leaks. The interior smells so bad they're going to have to get rid of it.
