Default 2013 RS5 winter wheels ...

It's a bit early but winter is coming and will need wheels for the RS5.. Anybody know what would be the "smallest" wheel I could use for the 2013 RS5 (like, any 18'' wheels will fit over the brakes?). Or, does the brakes the same size has the S5 so all S5 wheels would fit the RS5?

Any help is welcomed,

Sly

You may want to contact Tire Rack for a recommendation. Being the first year in the states, not sure there will be a lot of history (aside from those across the pond).

I e-mailed them and so far they have no clue, anybody can chime in if the brakes/calipper size are the same as the S5 so that would be easier to find a fit...

I have heard that 19" is the smallest because of the front calipers. I am planning to use my 19" RS5 for the winter and new 20" for summer. However, I suspect that some 18" wheels might fit but it would be tight.

I had delievered 18" wheels on blizzacks from tire rack. they didn't clear ( but marred ) the front calipers. I'm not sure that any 18" will fit. The S5 wheels I have definetly don't fit.

What were the S5 wheels that won't fit ? 18" or 19" ?

I think 19'' is the minimum for the RS5 due to its newly applied wave brakes. Not sure. Best to ask your dealer.

Why would anyone want 18s if they have an RS5 anyway? If you have an RS5, why would you degrade it with 18s when you can get 19s with snow tires?

The stock 19 inch from my 2009 S5 do not fit the 2013 RS5. The spokes hit the front brake callipers. My dealer said they would fit but no luck. As I had my snow tires mounted on these rims I got 10mm H&R spacers which work well and have allowed me to use the old S5 winter tires and wheels. The spacers also improve the appearance of the narrower winter tire/wheel combo
