2015 RS5 Exhaust Baffles
First time on a forum, of any kind.
I have a 2015 RS5 Cabriolet. I noticed the other day that the exhaust note seemed to be deeper and louder. After a little investigation, it seems that the exhaust isn't opening or closing, I don't know which,
when the appropriate drive select is selected, everything else changes as it should except the exhaust. the long and short of it all is the exhaust seems stuck in "Dynamic".
I've heard it is vacuum operated, so should this be a simple fix? I know what you're all going to say " louder, what's the problem" and I would agree, but I'm not sure about my neighbours and if somethings there it should work.
Thanks for all your help

I'm not 100% positive as I bought my RS5 with an aftermarket exhaust already installed but I believe there are issues with the internal butterfly valve freezing up or the solenoid going bad. I know there's some related info on Audizine but I'd try searching exhaust solenoid or something similar and see what comes up. If it's louder and deeper, you're stuck in "dynamic." Not necessarily a bad thing

Thanks Ape Factory.
All fixed! After a little internet searching and rummaging around in the boot (trunk) I found the pipe that had become disconnected.
Cost £0
Neighbours are smiling every time I go out or arrive home and I get to switch it whenever I like.

Ah so the vacuum line became disconnected. Happy neighbors are a good thing. I actually put resonated downpipes on my AWE exhaust due to the noise at startup. I caused my neighbor's young daughter to start crying one morning after firing up my car from cold. She was so scared she ran back up the front steps and tried to get back in the house!
