8 speed vs. 6 speed acceleration

According to the newly updated audiusa.com, the 8-speed model goes 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. That's .2 sec faster than the 6MT and .5 sec faster than the 2010 model with 6-speed auto. I always thought my my car felt noticeably faster than the 2010 A4 loaner...now I know I wasn't crazy.

Do you have the 2012 MY? What's making the 2012 A5 0.5s faster than the 2011? Engine tuning seems the same with the same output. A different transmission, perhaps?

There is no difference between '11 and '12. It seems that Audi never bothered to update the technical specs for the '11 model year and used '10 numbers.
