This is a great forum and I have enjoyed reading it--everyday!

I have a 2012 A5 on order due in Los Angeles the end of August. My big question is should I give up this car and wait for the 2012.5 by the end of the year? If the refresh is next spring them I won't wait; but another three or four months I will wait.

As been discussed Audi isn't talking, not the dealer nor the Western Regional Manager. Although I have another month to decide, doesn't anybody have any new insight?

No insight, but when the facelift arrives depends on what model yr Audi US wants to designate it . It can show up late 2011 only if it's a US " 2012.5 " If it comes here as a US "2013" , it can't be available to retail buyer until at least Jan 2, 2012 , per our gov't rules.

EHJ - everything I've seen indicates the facelift won't arrive to the US until MY 2013 next summer. Europe is getting it earlier (end of this year).

Have you seen the facelift pics? If not look for them as it definitely changes the look of the front end. I didn't care for it much so am happy to be getting the current design.

What dealer in LA did you use? Pacific Audi in Torrance has been treating me well so far.

I have seen the new pictures, and while I really don't like the new front end, some of the internal changes I like. I ordered it from Auto Gallery.

you won't get the facelift in MY12. It's for Europe only. But yes, 2012 > 2012.5

there wont be a 2012.5 model year.. in the audi dealer ordering system it is already showing 2013 as the next model year so we wont be seeing the new a5/s5 this year.
