Default Age vs kilometers? Audi S5

Looking at two Audi V8 S5's. one is a 2010 Automatic with 43,000kms(minimal service records) and one a 2012 standard with 112,000kms with every service up to date. I was very surprised to see that the 2012 has gone through 4 sets of plugs, new injectors due to leaks and misfiring as well as new rear dif seals. all of the jobs sound very expensive and definitely something that I hope to avoid now that the cars are both off of factory warranty. are these cars known for constantly having problems? Both cars are listed for approximately $28,000 which is the better buy?

Cheers,

Rob

On paper these are the same car. However, Audi over hauled lots of cars in 2010. They gave it a facelift and reworked the front differential, along with a few additional changes. Not so sure on the s5 but the 2010 a5 is sought out more then any other year of the a5 because of these changes. That's because all the issues after release have been worked out without changing anything significantly. The differences might be minimal, but I'd bet the 2010 would hold up better. At the same time these cars expensive because the engine has to be dropped out from the bottom to have anything done on it. A warranty goes a long way if you plan to drive it caausualy.
