Amp is broken, and MMI does not work. Audi a5 2008
Hi!
I have an Audi a5 2008 b&o. My amp is broken, but today my MMI started to act strange. The Audi logo appears but the MMI will not turn on. Does the amp power the MMI? Can that be the reason why the MMI wont work?

Two separate issues. I assume perhaps water came in one too many times when the trunk was opened and it fried your B&O amp? There are threads on how to either have this replaced and/or repaired.
I would try a reset of your MMI first. Instructions are in your owner's manual.
I assume you have the old style Nav with the rear mounted nav map DVD disc/player? If so, perhaps the same way your amp got damaged also continued onto damaging your nav map DVD player which I'm guessing could have had repercussions with your MMI. But just guessing on that aspect.
