Audi Care Plus for RS5

My '13 RS5 approaching 47K. Such a nice ride I plan to keep it for awhile. Comments on Audi Care Plus coverage to 75K? I don't have an "Indy" to do maintenance so will still be by the dealer. Current cost is $1230. When I had the 45K service done several weeks ago, service advisor printed out what should be done at 55K service and came to over $800. Anyone have this on their over 50K RS5's? As far as extended warranty, don't plan to as have had zero, I mean zero, issues with the car.

Look at it this way…would you buy a used RS5 without it?

I wouldn't. Peace of mind costs $X. What's it worth to you?
Or just put $1000 a year away for as long as you own the car and use it for non-consumeables (other than brakes, tires, batteries, etc.).

Your service advisor can tell you with a reasonable amount of certainty what every service will cost up to 75,000 miles. From there the math should be pretty easy.

I know that when I got my S5 it was a no brainer. AudiCare was a bit over $1000, the total of the services up to 45,000 was close to $1800. On top of that I got an extra 1% added to the residual.

I also got the Audi Care...

… but do my own oil changes on the 5K marks… If you have an O'Reilly's Auto Parts in your neighborhood, they are having a great sale on Royal Purple Synthetic, plus a K&N oil filter for $44. Bought two changes of the oil for my RS5/S4 and took the filters for my daughter's Honda Pilot.

Happy Motoring

The Audi Care is a no-brainer, assuming you will keep the car to 75K miles and/or 7 years. The only downside (as I found out the hard way) is that if you put less than about 11K miles per year on the car (at least 75K miles in 7 years) it will "age out" of the plan at 7 years from the car's original in-service date before you get to the 75K mile service. Under Audi care you are prepaying for the 55K, 65K and 75K services, so if you lose out on that last service it makes it a bad deal.

Purchased my RS5 in February of 2013, and will come off warranty about at 3 years. Not sure I would drive to 75K, and not sure having the Audi Care Plus would add much value if I sell/trade before that. Thanks for the input.
