Default Considering A5, concern about 2.0 engine

I am a long time A8 guy having multiple D2's and my current D3. I am considering a major change and love the look of the A5 but have not driven one yet. My wife will drive the D3 so I'll have a big car if I need it.

What is the latest with the 2.0 engine and oil burning? I do all of my own work, everything but alignments. I want to (obviously) avoid an oil burning issue which will drive me crazy and something I can't fix. Should avoid the 2.0 all together or certain years ok. How are the automatics holding up? The ZF 6 speeds in the D3 have been bulketproof as is the 4.2 engine.

Thanks
Bob

Default WE have a 2015 A5 2.0 with ~30K miles...no oil burning.

I suspect there were a few bad builds, who knows. Our 8? speed auto is fine, no problems. It's a three year lease and we're turning it in for an S4 or S5 sportback. Dunno yet.

Stick with 2013 and up and you should be fine. They fixed most if not all of the issues with the 2.0 TFSI with the facelift (B8.5).
