DRL Question
Might be a dumb question but I'm new to Audi. I have a 2014 A5 and I was just curious why I have to manually turn my DRL's on via the headlight control to the left of the steering wheel? I went through the DRL settings on the dash monitor but the DRL's were set to "Always On" or whatever the option was but when I started the car during the day the only lights that turn on are the orange corner lights. Is that how it's supposed to work? Shouldn't "DRL's Always On" mean the white LED ones are on and not the orange corner lights? Posting pictures off my car in each headlight mode. I probably should've taken pictures during the day but the "Auto" setting during the day is the same as the "Off" picture below. Basically I just want to know why my cars DRL settings are for the orange lights and if that's how it's supposed to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

My guess would be that someone changed the configuration using VCDS. The button on the left is for the fog lights. The DRL's normally should be the LED strip around the headlight.
