FYI for new Cab owners
I picked up my new A5 Cabriolet and heard a knocking sound from the back when going over sharp bumps. first I tightened down the spare which was loose from the factory. That didn't help. I pushed on the folding seatbacks and noticed one wasn't locked in tightly even though it looked fine. I slammed the seatback and it's now quiet. I was going to go through hoops getting it to the dealer but I figured this out on my own.
I just thought I'd share this with everyone to save some people time.

I don't think it will loosen up. Both of my S5 Cabs have been tight as a drum and rattle-free.
JGA5Cab, congrats on your new A5 Cab!

I am happy that the armrest doesn't creak. The door panel adjacent to the power window switches is tight and doesn't squeak when I lean my leg on it. My 2010 had both of those problems. I anticipate the windows loosening up and will make some noise. It's natural to have noises with a convertible. The knocking noise in the back was pretty disturbing on something brand new. I am glad it was something simple. My "brand specialist" would have picked the car up from my house and taken it in but I'd prefer not to rearrange my life for that.

I bought mine in Willoughby which is owned by Penske along with Beford. I prefer Sunnyside but I traded my 2010 in on an S5 Cab that I didn't like. They were the only ones in town with an unsold S5 Cab. I was forced to go through Willoughby again because they had the best offer to get me out of the S5.
