Default Intake for power not sound

Does anyone have suggestions for intakes that drive engine gains without creating too much additional squeal? I’m 2 months into ownership of 2014 S5 with no mods besides a new set of wheels and tires. Pipes and tune are in the cards but not until 2018.

Thanks in advance.

Ordered the AWE Carbon S-Flo intake and it lands next week. Will report in after installed. Hoping the fact the filter sits in an air box will contain that whine better than others. Also thinking ChipWerkes tune mod instead of APR. I’m sure there are two schools of thought here but I want to do it myself, and be able to undo myself. Half the price doesn’t hurt either.

Still open to ideas as the beast takes shape. Trim chrome delete with 3M 1080 Matte black vinyl is a real time suck. Not done but early impressions are high aesthetic value upgrade. Maybe even throwing an extra 5 ft lbs to the road

any updated pictures or details? I just purchased a 2014 S5 and would like to hear your feedback and advice. I was looking at the APR intake mostly because they are located down the street from me.

The AWE is really a nice piece of kit. I can’t speak for other brands but have no regrets or second thoughts on my selection. Install was quick and reasonably painless. I like that car immediately seemed to breathe better and there is no excessive super charger squeal, but enough to know it’s working. No pics but got the carbon and it looks solid - just like it looks on any site you’d buy it from. The air box and tube are high quality. I’m sure APR is good too but in no position to give you a review on that unit.
