I have the same issue with my car, and I've found that when the key gets stuck the solution is to jab the key in and let it pop out quickly - don't tug on it, and don't "press and hold" even though thats what the manual says. I have the "comfort key" option, so I rarely actually put the key into the ignition, except for valet parking.
