Maintenance/Service Manual 2013 S5
Hey all,
new (used) 2013 S5 owner here. I'm not finding any threads on it but do many of you do your own maintenance versus taking it back to the dealer?
I'm really looking to see if anyone has a source for a digital version of the OEM service manual or equivalent for a 2013 S5.
Thanks!
Jon

I do all the maintenance myself. So far, I've done the following with relative ease in the past 55K miles:
1. change engine oil and filter
2. spark plugs
3. brake fluid
4. transmission fluid
5. front, rear, and center differential
6. air filter
7. cabin filter
Key tools you will need:
1. VAG-COM
2. topside oil extractor
3. Hex bits
4. flexible or low-clearance sockets and ratchets
I buy mostly OEM or genuine Audi parts online and never had any problems.

I actually just picked up an 13 S5 about a month ago and will be coming up on my 35k service. I am planning on doing the trans fluid myself. Did you just get underneath and figure it out or did you find a write up about how to do it? Also, what is VAG-COM??? thanks for your help!!

I googled a lot and found some helpful info. I have made some posts about what I did, though I don't remember which forum. Just google for "findalex 8hp45" and you should find a few threads.
I am not sure what transmission is in your S5. I have the 8-speed tiptronic in my A5.
You basically have 4 fluids (ATF, front diff, center diff, rear diff) to change. The ATF is the most involved, requiring fluid level checking with a VAG-COM, but the others are just drain and fill with specified amount. Two bolts for each fluid, one to drain, and one to fill.
If some terms are unfamiliar, just search.
