I have a long commute so the V8 was a deal breaker and I really like the dual clutch in my 2009 TT 2.0 Quattro so the slushbox always seemed like it would be a step down.

I'm also glad to see the pin-point LED look has been replaced front and back with the more understated solid/banded look.

I might actually buy one now

As hard as I try to like the new front end, I just think Audi moved too far away from what made the A5/S5 stand out so much from the crowd. Sadly, the new headlights look like every other Audi model and even very similar to other cars (think Mitsubishi Lancer) as well.

I think the new A7 has better designed front end than the refreshed A5/S5.

Anyone else notice the apparent lack of sunroof on the coupe?

Is it a 2013 model. 2012's have already arrived in V8 form.

For some reason Audi's never look good in photographs - it's a well-known phenomenon. I'm sure the new design will look pretty sharp in person.

They have that option (no sunroof) overseas...

The dual-clutch 3.0 TSI coupe will most likely be my next ride if I can take delivery in Ingolstadt by next Spring. I've done European delivery for two BMW's (650 and 535) over the past few years and had a terrific time driving great cars throughout the continent.

It's just a shame that Audi S5 TC got banned for preaching the truth that the S5 would come with the v6SC. Those of us in Europe who knew this fact commented several times in his defence. It's a bigger pity that he didn't take my advise and tone it down a bit near the end because with the info now really available it wouldn't be him looking the fool and be still posting here.

Anyway enough of that. Great to see you will get the best S5 setup possible in the form of v6SC mated to Audi's superb S/Tronic gearbox complete with sportdiff, a mild chip and you will be able to go M3 hunting.
