I have a 2011 Audi A5 I purchased from dealer a few years ago. Was a lease that was turned in. Bought with about 50000 miles on it. Has 93000 now. Found out about lawsuit for oil consumption. Car is now eating oil every 300 miles. Have kept log, dealer wouldn't deal with it, kept saying would need a service to log it in. They always filled oil for free. Called them to ask about test, says I have to pay for it because of the mileage over the 80000 for lawsuit. They will send bill to Audi to see if they will reimburse me. Will cost between 800-1000 to do. I don't feel I should pay for this. I didn't know about the test or the mileage limit to get it fixed. They never told me. Has anyone run into this? I have paperwork to show the person who leased it brought it to the dealer at 38000 miles but never had it fixed because he turned in the lease, which I just received today.
