The factory is about 500 miles away from the docks in Emden, so no they don't drive them from the factory to the docks. They get loaded on trains. RS cars go through an additional QA cycle on the road and track and they all have somewhere around 40 miles on them when they get here.

I've read that while most new Audis may only have single digit miles when delivered from the factory (on/off transport carriers, Ro-Ro ships, transit through the departure and arrival port facilities, etc.), some are randomly selected as they come off the factory line in Germany for QC checking which could explain the 45 miles. If that's the case, I would be grateful that mine had been selected for more rigorous testing before shipping it out.

I think that's a pretty good deal for a brand new 2014 Model RS5.

Aren't 2013's going for Mid to high 60's... some even in the 70's? At least that's what I see online.

Mine had 73 miles when delivered. Now just over 20k and goes like a scalded cat...I would not worry about those miles. If any abuse would show up, it would be within the warranty period I would think. Also agree with comments on discounts for a car in demand...don't expect too much.

Just to clarify. They never drive cars to the docks. Neckarsulm while closer is still about 400 miles from Emden. Both plants are located in Southern Germany far from the North Sea.

I agreed to full when order, but am going to try and get them to throw in the Audi care of something when I pick up the car in April we shall see how that goes! I've heard of A LOT of people paying MSRP, some especially out west I've heard paying more than MSRP.

I got the similar deal last week 1.8K of MSRP + 1k for loyalty.

I saw the car on the dealer website as coming soon, so I contacted my sales rep and we worked that deal. the car got delivered from the Truck to the dealer for prepping then I picked it up next day. needles to say I did not sleep that night

and yes it had 40 miles on it.
