Red Engineering hidden menu
For what it’s worth, It IS possible for a dachshund to press the button sequence on the MMI to access the Red hidden menu while you get your milkshake from the drive thru window. 
It took a bit of research but I found how to get back.

Dachshunds are evil. I have one and have first-hand intimate knowledge of their four-legged mission of chaos. They will destroy your world if you don't watch them like a hawk. Mine gets the "red mist" when high levels of dopamine are achieved (aka any time he's not being punished) and will attempt to shred all items of value within reach. Which is why he'll never, ever ride in the RS5. Too much at stake. You sir, are a brave man.
