by the way.. the M3/RS5 match is performed with the dual clutch M3 so the RS5 is faster top 62mph ( 100km/h ) but when equipped with a manual 6 speed it might actually kill the RS5 in the sprint. I am getting me a full equipped S5 and don't even worry about RS5, is only half a second faster to 60mph, same top speed, same design except for a few tweaks that I am sure one can get in the future for their S5 plus I prefer the quad-chrome-exhaust-pipes better and save some $$$$$. I feel RS5 will be picked by spoiled kids and wannabe playas for showing off purposes, for all other daily drivers, S5 does it.

Then call me a wannabe playa. Yeah. I thought the same thing. I tried to lie to myself and kept saying the S5 is all I need. But after a few months of S5 ownership I relented and got the RS5. Glad I got the RS5. Is it phenomenally better? No. But you can tell there is a difference. Is the difference worth the price hike? For most, no. For some, yes. Oh yeah. I also daily drive the RS5.

I daily drive my RS5 as well and dynamically, it's on another level from the S5. Especially in the handling department. The S-Tronic has a completely different TCU map as does the active rear differential. It is a different drive and keeping the rpm above 4K or even 5K, it's a complete animal on the open road. In fact, it's so good, Randy Pbost said it's better handler than the R8. And when you want to tame it all down, it's as easy to drive as a Camry. Everyone says Audis understeer but not this one. Counter steer correction and having the tail out is a normal occurrence on this car. Super controllable too.
There's a good deal of aftermarket support for the RS5 now and it's only getting better. We now have several worthwhile tunes and cars running in the high 11's to low 12's consistently with one car running sub-4's 0-60. I've run as low as 4.1. If anything the one flaw is the car's weight. Dynamically, in the turns, you really don't feel it. Hides its weight well. It only really shows up in outright acceleration numbers for cars with the factory tune.

Finally arrived. Black front and rear badges. Thanks Audi of New Orleans Online sales...best price I've found online ($56 each). DITY video and links found on the forum made the front badge easier...also once you get the new one you can easily see how to release and attach it. One recommendation...take a pic of your car before your remove the prior silver/chrome badge IF you want to easily replace the black on in the proper place. I thought I remembered exactly where it went but after wiping down the front bumper prior to re-installing the new badge partially out of habit and just wanting the front to look clean as possible I had to refer to a pic of the front I'd taken to get it exactly re-established in the correct spot. Also added Richard G's front plate holders to my car....will run without a plate for now but have it mounted in the trunk...no screwed in front OEM plate! Awesome day...now for a bath tomorrow!
