Default S5 Winter Rims

Just bought a 2010 S5 and new to the forum! I am looking for a set of winter rims (18") that are reasonably priced and proper fitment (without the use of spacers). I looked into OE Wheels LLC and Finish Line. Both sell replica rims that "apparently" are S5 "replicas". The only problem is that I emailed both of them to confirm proper fitment on the S5, and both of the responses I received indicated that they don't have a proper fitment for the S5?! I am severely confused. They sell "S5 replica wheels" that don't "fit" the S5?!?! Can anyone here share info that might help me? Thank you!

Nice wheels, but a little more money than I want to spend on a set for winter use.

How much less did you want to spend, they are under $300 each? These wheels are made in Germany not Asia and you can't find a single complaint about finish or cracking like many others.

I've seen many replica wheels priced at $700-800 per set. Why would I want to spend $1200 for a set of winter wheels, if I could get something that was good quality for $800? I live in Canada, lots of snow, and the car is going to look like sh*t most of the winter anyway.

Because those $800 sets are made in Asia and you may want to read some of the comments about quality before you buy? There may be a reason they are priced at $700

Achtuning is the only one I know of right now that carrys replicas for the B8 generation.

If price is your main focus and you do not care too much about being slightly outdated, take a look at the V708 from VMR. I think the they are closer to your price range

There is no doubt that Achtuning carries quality wheels, no one will dispute that. But at the same time, to put down a set of wheels just because they are made in Asia is completely idiotic.

Do a search on the internet and see if there are more finish problems with German made replicas or Asian made replicas. I think that ends that discussion.

How many sets of OEM replica wheels have you owned ? How many of them are from Germany and how many of them have an Asian origin ? Since you made the claim, it is your responsibility to prove it to the members here that your statement is indeed based on facts, and not fiction.

I sincerely hope that you do realize that Asia is a pretty big continent and it covers a lot of different countries. You did learn that back in grade school, right ?
