Squeeling noise and leaking fluid?
Hi all
I was coming back from my mum's tonight and my car ('09 A5, 3.0 TDi) started making a squeeling noise. It started out quiet and got louder. Didn't seem to be related to the engine RPM and switching the A/C on and off made no difference. There was an intermittent burning smell. The noise
disappeared at under 20mph and got higher in pitch as my speed increased up to 60 or 70mph. Car seemed to have full power. No lights on dash.
When I got back I found a white fluid/powder had been splashed over the driver's side wheels and down the full length of the bodywork on the driver's side. I'm pretty confident I didn't drive over any white liquid on the road. (Typical that I just washed it!)
The steering wheel has been shuddering whilst braking for a few weeks. Not sure if that could be related?
Any ideas at all? Cheers!
