Steering issue on A5
ive noticed lately that if I move the steering wheel slightly to the left or right there feels like a notch. It makes it “sticky “. I noticed that the steering was a little different after I got the car in April and took it to Audi. They drove it and didn’t notice anything. I thought maybe it was due to the summer tires being on there. I put new Michelin pilots on last month and it’s doing it again. I have a 2014 A5 with 32k miles. Hoping it’ll be covered under the warranty. Ugh!!!!

There are issues with the electric power steering. Apparently there's a TSB and software fix. Search around. Some guy actually found a way to do it with VAG-COM. You can give it a try if you're out of warranty.

Try this: https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...otchy-Steering
Since you're JUST out of warranty, perhaps they will do a good will fix for you. Doesn't hurt to try since they literally just have to plug in the computer and press a few buttons to update the software.

I can’t get in until nov 12 so I’m going to have them do the recall and ask if they could just update it while they’re in there. Fingers crossed.
