timing chain recall
 

Anyone having issues with hard starting. Local repair shop says could be the belt tensioner, suggested seeing dealership and see what the will do. It says my vin won't be included in the recall. Any suggestions on cause of hard starting?

spark plugs, ignition coils come to mind

does it run well after it starts?

tensioner issues were mostly for 2012 and older models. what year is your car?

its 2013, think local mechanic said it was throwing code p 1600 if i recall... He said he didn't pay much attention to it since car is well taken care of and too ealry to be having that issue.. But he recommended checking with audi.. Its hit and miss... sometimes runs great other times its a issue.. ... he checked plugs and had to change fuel pump since code was for low pressure in fuel rail... that cleared that code
