Hello A5 Enthusiasts and owners,


I have just purchase my A5, its been less than a month. I noticed that when I start it there is a buzzing sound then it goes away after about 10 secs ? ... What does this mean ? ... This did not happen during the first 2 weeks of driving the car ..

My past A4 and my current A5 have this same noise. Audi's have an auxiliary air handler that kicks in when the car is cold and stops after it has warmed up. I especially notice when I first put the car in reverse to back out of the garage in the morning. My Audi service tech says it is normal, but feel free to ask yours.

Thanks alot for the response. I think you are right.. it seems to occur only during the colder mornings.

I just bought an S5 and I hear a buzzing sound after 10-15 secs I start the car. The buzzing last for about 5 secs or so and disappears. It only happens on the first cold start of the day. Does this happen on all the A5/S5?
