Default Tires

Hey everyone I need to purchase new tires soon and wanted to get some input. I have 255/35/zr19 and I need the best possible deal. I need A/S Tire’s that are good in rain and snow. I noticed some are marginal in those areas. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Research at Tire Rack. Huge amounts of data and feedback there. Most "all season" tires don't do well in the snow.

So to get a tire that performs well in snow you’d have to get snow specific tires? I live in Kentucky so we don’t get a ton of snow but my driveway is kind of steep so that’s why I’m thinking a tire that does well in snow would be helpful. I think ill be ok with the Quattro

Many seem to favor the Conti DWS06 tire in that class.

There's also a new class being referred to as "all weather". Supposed to be far superior in snow compared to the "all season" offerings:

I’ll check all weather and see what comes up. The BFG Comp 2 got really good reviews via Tire Rack. My Continentals only have 29k miles on them, ugh! But they’re summer tires and only 30k mile warranty so that’s about right.
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it

Thanks, didn’t find much about all weather. I’ll check out the ones on that list.

Consumer Reports did a test on the Nokian and Toyo tires, saying they performed better in snow than some of the dedicated snow tires. They even tested the tires in an ice skating rink to see how they performed on ice. Dayum, that is being seriously OCD!! ROFLMAO.

I'm lucky, I just run Pilot Super Sports on my S5 in Southeast Georgia. If it gets to the point of having snow, I have a 3/4 Ton Chevy 4x4 to drive.

Laughing out loud, thanks!! I’ve read so many reviews on tires I’m about to go nuts. I have a 4wd truck so if it gets a**deep the A5 will stay in the garage anyway.

I installed Sumitono HTR A/S PO2s on my S5 and my wife's MB E350 in place of Contis and Pirellis, respectively. Less than half the price, and the Sumis are at least twice as quiet as both of the previous tire. Couldn't be happier. Haven't had them in the snow yet, though.
