Will the 2015 RS5 get an engine upgrade similar to the S6/S7 ?
If so, will it finally lose its naturally-aspirated engine.

In this B8 model range, the engine will NOT be changed.

The new A5 platform will be introduced in 2015, new RS5 probable 1-2 years later, and strongest rumors are that this will have a V6 with turbo(s), like the new M3/M4.

Pity, but extra reason to buy a RS5 now, and enjoy the NA V8 before it is too late!

Unless Audi has changed their original plans, there won't even be a 2015 RS5 in North America. They may sell the cab for another year, but MY2014 is the last year for the coupe. Just like the TTRS had only a two year run. We will see the new A5/S5 and no RS5 for 1-2 years and hopefully we don't have to wait again until the mid-cycle refresh before it comes here like the current RS5. Remember, the current RS5 was introduced as a MY2010 in Europe, but we didnt' get it until MY2013.

I don't know how recently you checked on that but that's absolutely not true. We will be getting the 2015 here. I had initially ordered a 2014 RS5 exclusive everything and was told last week it would be getting pushed back to almost a September date because of summer vacation in the german factory which would be when the 2015 would be available. So I opted to just get the 2015 same everything as the 2014 platform, engine as well. Just a 4% price increase.

Interesting. Have you actually seen the order guide for the 2015 RS5? It's not real until there is an order guide.

EDIT: I suppose this has something to do with the recently announced delay for the B9 A4/S4. Haven't heard anything about the A5/S5 being delayed, though.

That may be it. I didn't need to see the order guide for mine because I just transferred my exclusive interior and exterior choices to it. I also went through Amanda in VIP sales, I can inquire a little more about that delay though if you want me to ask her.

I agree with you..MY2014 will be last for B8 RS5..thats what my SM told me when I ordered my RS..there wont be 2015's..We will probably have the B9 here late 2016 as 2017 model but thats just my guess..

I wouldn't trust a sm personally but as I said mine is through the AoA corporate office so unless Amanda is lying to me, expect a 2015 model. I believe it was also confirmed by another user on the site here. Sounds like misinformation from your dealers.

Something seems off with this IMO. 2015 is a new platform for the A5. So are they saying that they will continue to make RS5s using the old platform through 2015 even as they roll out new platform A/S5s? (so basically what BMW did with the E90/92 M3 still shipping post F30)

While possible this seems weird for the US since it has been said by Audi all along (and reported by every publication) that the US was getting the RS5 for "the last two years of the B8 models lifespan) - '13 and '14.

Not saying it's not possible, just that Amanda in VIP sales is contradicting everything that has been said publicly by Audi corporate. The "only 1500 to the US, only 2 model years" mantra was told directly to all of the motoring press and there hasn't been a single peep of that changing since. A *completely new* RS5 in the EU in '15 or '16, with a US release listed as a question mark as usual, really would make a lot more sense.
