‘19 S5 Coolant Leak Has Local Euro Shop Stumped

Recently had my car serviced at a local Euro shop as the coolant temp warning kept coming on every day. The image is the work they performed on the car.

Got the car back and everything was fine, but 2 weeks later the light came back on briefly just once. I then noticed the car was leaking coolant under the passenger side overnight.

I brought the car back the shop and they have been unable to reproduce the leak, even after pressure tests, running the car for a while and then leaving it overnight. Nothing

I took the car back as they were stumped and of course it's still leaking. I’ve lost enough fluid now that the add fluid light has come on.

Any ideas? I just called them and they really seem bewildered.

Thanks!

Why don't they do a dye test so they can trace the leak?

That’s a good question which I’ll ask when I go back this week.

i put down cardboard down last night and I can see drips landing in 4 different locations.

I should add that these are significant leaks. There’s a bunch of fluid on the ground. I need to refill the coolant before I bring it back to the shop as the light has come back on.

I had a coolant leak coming from the turbo. There's 2 pipes that bring coolant in and out and the seals wore out and needed to be replaced.

was it leaking a lot of fluid?

It wasn't pouring out but it was all over the underside of the engine.

Ah, mine is leaking quite a bit on to the ground, passenger side.

On my 2018 A5, I put in UV dye, ran engine short while, and with a blacklight could see immediately my leak. Even trace it to a 2mm weep hole in the water pump.
Replaced for free as there is a history of water pump premature failures and Audi has a free repair policy thru 80k miles iirc. Others have reported cracks in coolant reservoir, but leak should be more on driver's side. Of course, can come from many other places. Try the dye test.
