1 Year Software Update?

Try searching on https://www.audipartsprime.com/ for any software updates available. Start off by entering your VIN on the webpage to narrow the catalog to items that are specific for your vehicle. The update might be in CD/USB form. Hope this helps

I then tried to enter my year and Model: 2018 and when I clicked on models - there was no A5 / S5 selection.

The bottom line is that the dealer won't just update you to the latest software unless there's a problem evident in your car that's fixed in a newer software version and can be matched to a TSB in their system. They won't update just because there's a newer version.

Thanks for pointing me to their site map — but they don’t seem to acknowledge the 2018 and newer B9 series.

We're still waiting for the 2019 map update, even though it should be out by now based on last year's update. Only the 2018/2019 update is up on the site right now.

The MMI software was recently updated to 13xx versions (xx varies depending on region). It seems to fix some issues with the storing of user choices for settings, then main one being (and there is a huge year long thread on here about it) that the overhead view parking camera settings weren't stored.
There are no new features, Audi just don't do that AFAIK.
