I just got an email from my dealer, and here is what he said.
The first batch of ordered RS5s are getting additional checks from the Audi inspection team. This was part of the plan from the start and this kind of thing is normal when new cars are imported.
He expects my car in Houston to be released in the new couple of days. I wonder if ones at earlier ports will be getting released sooner ...

Just got a call from my Brand Specialist. A technician was flown in from Germany to update the software on all the units sitting in the port that needed it. Sold units were pushed to the front of the line and then the rest. Current estimate is a Monday delivery at the dealership.

My car was loaded on a truck this morning and is en route to Seattle! I'm told to expect it by month's end as it's being "rushed".

Now that this one went through ... Got a call from my Brand Specialist today that said they flew a technician in from Germany to update the software on the sold vehicles first and then the rest of them that were sitting in port. Mine was one of those and supposedly was loaded on a truck and should be at the dealership on Monday hopefully. Congrats on getting yours out of the Port of Houston.

I don't know what the rules are, but there are three or four posts/responses that are awaiting moderation. If this one makes it through :
I got a call yesterday from my Brand Specialist saying that they flew a technician in from Germany to reprogram (I'm assuming a Flash of ECU) all the units in JAX port that required it. The sold units were pushed to the front of the line and done first and mine was in that batch so it supposedly was loaded onto a truck and is on the way to the dealership now.
