I, too, have never seen an actual Audi with the layered aluminum/black wood. Up here it is called 'Beaufort Aluminum' by Audi Canada. I custom ordered my '16 S5 and waited 4 months for it. I almost chose 'Beaufort Aluminum' but thought that it made the car quite serious in a formal way. My second choice was Stainless Steel Mesh. My first choice was Carbon Atlas which is quite commonly found in B8's.

That is what I have in my S5.

I'm sure it will be available shortly.

Default S5 Sportback - USA release

Has anyone gotten a recent update from a dealer about when the S5 sportback is getting released in the USA? If S4 were to be released in January - it is surprising that there has been little or no information about it.

I heard that the new Porsche Panamera 4S has been pushed out to March. Given that there is component sharing across Porsche and Audi for these new models - I wonder if the new Audi models are also getting impacted to some some degree.

I would also like to know. This is on my #1 list when our G37 lease ends in June.

Please, please, please let there be a manual transmission option for the A5 Sportback in the USA. I mean the new A4, A5 Coupe and the A5 Cabriolet will have the option. Don't screw me out of my next car Audi USA!

With the official North American reveal of the cabrio at the Detroit Auto Show this week, I'm hoping the order guide shows up imminently. I'm eager to get one for spring!

A4 and A5 Coupe are the only cars available with a manual transmission. No sportback or cabriolet.

The cab looks pretty sweet. Maybe when the kids are off to college....

Oh bummer.. Why Audi Why do you hate me.. hehe.. I don't see why they can't offer a manual in the sportback. I mean the engine and transmission combo has already been certified for the A4 and A5 Coupe and the interior components are pretty much identical at least in the front seats. So much sadness.. I guess I need to do some more soul searching for what I want for my next Audi. The sportback + manual was my dream combo.
