2018 Audi RS5 Coupe-Auto Start/Stop Button
Hey All,
I am in the process of getting a 2018 Audi RS5 in the USA. Coming out of a 2018 S4, which has a button to disable the Auto Start/Stop function in these cars.
One thing I noticed is that not all RS5's, might not be and RS5 only thing, have that disable switch on the dashboard.
It looks like the one I am picking up does not have it, and I am curious/concerned there is no way to disable the function.
I have been trying to find some more info online, but there seems to be nothing to reference at the moment in these cars.
Does anyone have any info they can provide to shed some light on this?
Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
-V

Interesting, I have seen the disable button on a few models. It seems some have it some don't. Unless the US market just doesn't have the function and Euro market does and it's just shared parts so US gets a blank button?
Thanks,

It wasn't clear when just researching the vehicle whether or not it came with the option. Seems that US/UK market photos and details were getting mixed when I was researching, which caused the confusion on my end.
Thanks,

There were articles about how Audi planned to improve the start/stop functionality on the RS models based on some tech that they acquired, only to have the first RSs show up in the US without stop/start at all. I'm a little curious whether the models that do have it behave any better, but it's probably a good thing that it's missing entirely in the NA market.

Almost makes me wish I’d coughed up the extra $25K.
But, just almost!
