Hi everyone.

Now that the 2018 S5 Sportback has been around for some time... Is the honeycomb grille available for the car yet?

I would love to know where I can get my hands on one.

Has anyone had any luck with installing the badgeless versions of the honeycomb grilles from China on a premium plus sportback?

I'm really hesitant on getting one of these shipped out only to find that I have to finagle with my parking sensors and whatnot.

See the threads on audizine. They're all the same grill. Sensors are not in the correct position. Camera doesn't attach correctly. You CAN do it but it's not a direct fit. Go check the other threads.

I did talk with the boss of companies in China producing the honeycomb grille and concluded that they are unable to produce a problem free version due to technical issues and no upgrade version will be available in future.

These are from a different manufacturer and the one I will probably opt for (referenced in one of my Audizine links above as the 'second gen' version). The sensors are in the right place, but I believe the camera still needs a bit of modification.

You can get them a bit cheaper if you contact them directly through Alibaba (URL is in the pictures). They also have listings for a few other color/finish combinations.

Keep us updated! Just seems every time the guy says, no, we haven't heard any complaints and I checked, they say everything is correct. Someone gets it, and nothing is correct. I spoke to the Alibaba guy too, and he told me it should all work. If this one does I'd be Uber excited. Love to see pics/video of it and the installation.

If the sensors are correct and it's just the camera, I guess that's not a huge issue. Mines lease so I'm not changing the sensors out.

Now that the B9 RS5s are hitting the dealers, wouldn't the OEM grill be a better bet given all these issues with the cameras/sensors? Probably will be expensive but wouldn't that be a direct replacement, plug and play affair?
