The 2.0T is such an anemic engine that Audi probably thought more folks would buy if they obscured its power plant.

I've had several various 2.0 loaners, and really can't stand it.

I guess it could be a cost-cutting measure. <shrugs>

Your comment is definitely not nice.

It's not about protecting the delicate, but more that your comment sounds like you're being a condescending a$$hole.

I'm ok with that.

What's your take on why Audi has decided to stop 2.0T badging? I'll put you in the column of "people who disagree with my theory".

Who knows. Seems like they are removing badging to clean things up (same reason they got rid of the V6T badge from the fender of the S4).

They also stopped 3.0t badging on all of the cars.

maybe they realized the badging was redundant? I believe the majority of their model types only have one engine type any way: A models have only 2.0, S models have only 3.0 etc. I think the Q7 is the only model that gives you the option of a 3.0 without being an S model.

Yeah, that's plausible. I was shocked when I realized that the Q5 was no longer available as a V6, for example. I'm going to hold onto my wife's 2015 3.0T, methinks.

Me think they're slowly transitioning us to the KW-based 2-digit numbering scheme. First get rid of what we know, then go badgeless for a while, then give us the 45 TFSI and 55 TFSI.
