No presents this year if 2019s aren't released from port soon.

Got word that they've officially released 2019 A4 quattro and A5 cabs, coupes and sportbacks as of today and port is now processing them.
Hoping for A4 fwd, S4, S5, and RS5s next week.

Have you guys been getting new TPMS sensors for your winter wheels ? I understand that the 2019 RS5 models all have Direct TPMS, instead of using the ABS system to detect low tire pressure. I'm planning on using the winter wheels from my current RS5 (2013) on my RS5 SB whenever it arrives and they obviously don't have sensors in them currently so was assuming I would need to get some. Or is there an easy way around this ?

You're correct! There won't be any TPMS transmitters in the new wheels. So, the one's that you're taking off your old car aren't needed, but won't do any harm.

I think you misunderstood my post (or I wrote it badly). My current RS5 wheels do not have sensors in them as the car uses the ABS system to detect low tire pressure. I was under the impression that the Direct TPMS system on the new RS5 required sensors in the wheels so that the tire pressure and temperature (?) can be displayed in the MMI. Assuming this is correct, I expect I will actually need some TPMS sensors for my old RS5 wheels so that the info can be displayed in the MMI on the new RS5...

Great News Eric. You are exactly 2 weeks behind the email I received on Dec 1st. I will let you know when my RS5 SB is at the port so you can guesstimate yours should be there about two weeks after mine. I'm thinking the middle to end of Jan before mine is at the dealership.

I got more info after that post. My RS5 SB is scheduled to depart Emden on December 27th on the Viking Queen and arrive in Houston on January 17th. I also believe that my VIN is showing up on my dealer website. I have not gotten confirmation of my VIN yet but the build matches mine exactly. This will be a long month. My son was born on December 5th so I have plenty to keep me occupied until then.
