I was told this week from my dealer that they are expecting a first week of December release.

No, I mean RS5 SB. The RS5 SB is to be released in NA before ROW.

Oh okay. Well according to their press release it stated coming to the US market at the end of 2018.
Audi Newsroom

Several articles including Audi's unveiling of the RS5 SB stressed the importance of the US market and why it would be launching here first and launching elsewhere after.
Maybe this has changed with all the craziness surrounding this launch.

I'm pretty sure it will still launch first in the US. The RS5 Sportback isn't even listed on the Audi Deutschland site.

The first mention of the RS5 SB in Europe spoke about Q3 / 2018. But due to their promises about the US market (of course as compensation for the lack of RS4), they are stopping sales in Europe. Plus problems with all S / RS models. If you will officially enter the RS5 SB this year, I suspect that it will be introduced into Europe six months later.

Unofficially in Poland, it is said that RSs will unblock at the end of Q2 / 2019 and Sportback will enter them. And I hope so, although I am starting to watch more and more often M5 .

Today my dealer said my S5SB will release in December at the same time as the RS5SB. Until now, my order sheet had a blank "Released To Carrier" date, not even an estimated date. It now shows 12/13/18 ETA.
