Unfortunately there are no updates available for my A4.

Took a very long time to download. Can the map be used to update another Audi? I did the 2018 A5, can I use it for the 2106 A6?

Default System problems?

Nikon1,
I tried following your instructions, through Windows, got to the appropriate folder to choose North America or a smaller local file, then am hit with an error message that says "service not available". Do you have to have an Audi Connect subscription to make this work, or is this a temporary problem? I let mine expire after the 6 month trial. I have a 2018 A5 Sportback by the way.

I tried this morning and received the same "service not available" error. Audi's connected services are really up to par.

In the UK, the 2019-2020 maps seem to have been available on the Audi Connect in the car as an Online Update. However if you log in via myaudi, it is still stuck at 2019.

Infact I think the workings is even more confusing. It states that the first 6 map updates made available by Audi for your car are free. It also mentions 3 years of free map update assuming one every 6 months. So yes use it or lose it.
But in my case, I bought my new car in May 2018. It came with 2017/2018 maps on it which were out of date. So in May I updated them to 2018 maps. In July the 2018/2019 maps were available and then in Nov the 2019 ones. So if in 6 months of owning the car, I have gone through 3 of my 6 free updates, I won't be a happy bunny. Just for the record, I raised a case with Audi who assure me that I should still get 3 years of map updates. We shall see....

You guys say you get 6 map updates? This is what it says on the Canadian site:

"The first map updates are free of charge to you. You will be informed as soon as they expire. Please note that unused updates expire automatically."

When you click "Further information":

"You can download the latest map updates here and then install them in your vehicle using an SD card. You can download and install updates as many times as you like. The maps are generally updated every six months."

I think there is a number missing in that 1st sentence before the word map. Because you wouldn't use "updates" if you were just referring to 1. And then what's the point of referring to the unused updates and that they are released every 6 months.
